For the upcoming 2013-2014 academic year, Robert Morris University's Department of Accounting and Taxation invites applications for three
9-month faculty positions. Robert Morris University (RMU) offers faculty members an environment where teaching, research, and service are
supported and valued. We are seeking:

• One candidate to teach accounting information systems, cost accounting, financial accounting or auditing
• One candidate to primarily teach taxation

Located in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, RMU is a private university with an enrollment of 5,000 students. The RMU School of Business (SBUS) is accredited by AACSB International. SBUS opened a new state-of-the-art building in fall 2011. The Department offers an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master's degree in taxation. The RMU accounting program is widely considered a premier undergraduate program in the broader geographic region. Pittsburgh itself is a thriving community, having been named "America's Most Livable City" by Forbes and The Economist, as the "second best place to raise kids" by Business Week, and as the "best place to buy a home" by Forbes.

Position Requirements:

Candidates for the accounting positions should have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution, or be nearing the completion of such program. Candidates for the taxation position should also have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution, or alternatively a JD/LLM in Taxation. Candidates must demonstrate the potential for teaching excellence and research productivity.
